WAT PUNYAWANARAM ( Buddhist Temple ) was established by the Thai people who live in Melbourne , Palm Bay , and other cities around Florida . The primary purpose of the temple is to share the Buddhist teachings, provide a site for meditation training and be a social center for the Thai people of Florida and for people of all nationalities who are interested in learning more about Buddhism or meditation.

In 1991 the temple was located at 1024 Carlton Drive in Melbourne , Florida which was in a residential zone and was a small home, modified to serve as our temple.

Today the temple is located in 4490 Aurora Road , Melbourne , Florida in a building specifically designed as a temple in the Thai style. The temple is located on a seven acre site that includes parking lots, the new building and a large area for meditation.
